Free Online Barcode Generator
Create EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A and Code 128 barcodes in your browser. Adjust colors and output settings, download individual files, or export multiple barcodes as a ZIP.
How much of the code may be damaged or covered and still scan. Auto picks the strongest level that doesn't make the code bigger.
PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. A PNG with a transparent background looks best. The logo never leaves your device.
Striped spots would cover parts scanners need.
Many at once (ZIP)
Uses the type, look and file type selected above. Max 500.
About Barq
Free, fast and private QR code and barcode generator. Add your logo, pick colors and styles, make WiFi or contact QR codes, and download SVG, PNG, JPG or a print-ready PDF at an exact size. Everything happens in your browser: what you enter is never sent to a server, there is no tracking or analytics, and it works offline once loaded. Like any website, our server and Cloudflare log technical data such as your IP address; see the privacy policy.
Barq remembers your settings, your last input and up to 8 recent QR codes you downloaded or copied, in this browser only (localStorage), so they are still there next time. WiFi passwords and otpauth:// links (one-time password secrets) are never saved.
Help
- QR code size
- 21 × 21 squares is the smallest QR code. More content means more squares; short content stays small.
- Error correction
- L 7%, M 15%, Q 25%, H 30% of the code may be damaged or covered and still scan. Logos need Q or H.
- Printing
- Keep QR squares at least 0.4 mm and the code at least 2 cm. Scan distance is roughly 10 × the code width. Print PDFs at "Actual size" or 100%, not "Fit to page".
- Scan check
- Every QR code is decoded in your browser after each change, so you know it works before you download.
- Barcodes
- EAN-13 and UPC-A for retail products, EAN-8 for small packages, Code 128 for letters and numbers. The check digit is added or verified automatically. Use dark bars on white; red bars are invisible to laser scanners.

Before printing
Barcode Printing Tips
- Use dark bars on a white background. Avoid red bars.
- Leave clear space around the barcode; do not crop it tightly.
- Do not stretch the barcode unevenly or make the bars unnecessarily short.
- For PDF output, check the physical width and print at Actual size or 100% when that is the intended scale.
- Test the final printed barcode with the scanner and workflow you intend to use.
A valid input or successful download is not a certification of printed barcode quality.
