Add Watermark to PDF
Add a custom text or logo watermark to every PDF page or only the pages you choose.
Watermark PDF files locally

FAQ
PDF watermark questions
How do I add a watermark to a PDF?
Upload a PDF, choose text or image mode, configure the watermark, select pages, and download the new PDF after the watermark is applied.
Can I use a logo instead of text?
Yes. Select image mode and upload a PNG or JPG file. PNG is often useful for logos because transparent areas can be preserved.
Can I watermark selected pages only?
Yes. Enter one page, a comma-separated list, or a range such as 1,3-5. Use all to watermark every page.
Will the original PDF be changed?
No. The tool downloads a separate PDF with the watermark added, so the uploaded file remains unchanged.
Why can’t I watermark a password-protected PDF?
This tool does not provide a password-entry option for encrypted PDFs. Use an unencrypted copy that you are authorized to access, then select it again.
Preview and text limitations
Does the preview show the exact exported result?
No. The preview shows only the first PDF page with an approximate watermark overlay. If page 1 is excluded, the overlay is hidden and the preview label indicates that it is not selected. Invalid page selections also hide the overlay. Placement, size, rotation and text appearance may differ in the exported PDF. Download the result and inspect the pages you selected.
Can I use Arabic, emoji, or other scripts as watermark text?
Text export uses built-in Helvetica fonts and does not provide full Unicode text support. Arabic, emoji, and other unsupported characters may appear in the browser preview but fail during PDF export. For these labels, prepare a PNG or JPG image and use image watermark mode instead.
Processing controls and output checks
Files and settings are locked during processing
The controls are locked while loading a PDF, reading a watermark image or creating the output. Wait for the operation to finish before changing the document, image or settings.
Text export uses built-in Helvetica fonts. Unsupported characters produce an explicit error instead of a generic conversion message. Use an image watermark for Arabic, emoji or other unsupported text.
Review placement in the downloaded PDF
The live overlay is an approximate first-page guide, not a rendered preview of the exported PDF. Text font metrics and rotation anchors differ between the browser overlay and PDF drawing.
The current placement calculations do not compensate explicitly for page rotation or CropBox boundaries. Large, tall or rotated marks may extend beyond a page edge, especially near corners. Inspect the selected pages after downloading and adjust the settings if needed.
This tool adds visible text or image content. It does not add password protection, copy restrictions or a digital signature, and it does not provide a mechanism to prevent watermark removal.
