PDF Merger FAQ

Can I combine more than two PDF files?

Yes. You can combine multiple PDF documents into one file, provided your browser and device can handle the selected files.

Can I control the order of the PDF files?

Yes. Use the up and down arrows to change the order of whole files before merging. Pages within each source PDF remain in their existing order.

Will the original PDF files be changed?

No. The merger creates a new combined PDF and does not replace your original files.

What can I use a merged PDF for?

Merging is useful for combining reports, contracts, scanned documents, project files, receipts, or other related PDFs into a single document.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

This tool does not provide a password-entry option for encrypted PDFs. Use an unencrypted copy that you are authorized to access, then try merging again.

Are my PDF files uploaded?

The merger reads and combines your selected PDF files in your browser. The merging code does not upload their contents to a server. The page may still make network requests for analytics, advertising, or supporting resources.

File order and duplicate handling

The displayed file list determines the merged document's order. All pages of the first file are followed by all pages of the next file, preserving page order within each source. Use the arrows to move whole files; this tool does not select or reorder individual pages.

You need at least two files to merge. Files with the same name, size and last-modified time are treated as duplicates and are not added again. This duplicate check compares file metadata, not document contents.

While merging, file addition, removal, reordering and clearing are locked. The operation uses a fixed copy of the file list. The browser starts a download named Vamriko-merged.pdf; follow any prompt to save it.

Review document features after merging

The merger creates a new PDF by copying source pages. It does not convert the pages to JPG images or run image compression. The result is not guaranteed to be smaller than the combined source files.

Do not rely on this page-copy operation to combine document-level features such as bookmarks, attachments, signature workflows or interactive form structures. Check any links, forms and other features you need in the downloaded document.

Encrypted PDFs are not supported, and there is no password-entry option. Use unencrypted copies you are authorized to edit. Large batches may exceed the memory available to your browser. Keep the originals and review the final page count, order and appearance before sharing.
